The Live Simply Award reflects Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ and is grounded in three fundamental and closely intertwined relationships, with God, with our neighbour, and with the earth itself  (Laudato Si’ 66). Nine faith-inspired actions enable our students to respond in a holistic manner to the three core principles of the award.

These nine actions have a direct impact on your school, local and global communities.

These actions build upon and enrich our school’s relationships with parents, families, parishioners, and the wider school community as they journey with us.

Each action has a faith and learning element. Pupils understand how faith underpins and inspires each action, and the learning element deepens their understanding as to why they are taking an action and the impact it will have.

Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching (CST) ... The Live Simply approach is also rooted in Catholic Social Teaching (CST). It encourages our pupils to spend time in prayer and reflection, whilst also focusing upon taking action together to respond to global poverty, injustice and the environmental crisis.
